Abstract
Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the effects of jumping fitness on physical fitness
factors (balance, agility, and muscular strength).
Method: In a semi-experimental design, 20 individuals aged 25 to 45 years were selected using
convenience sampling and assigned to the experimental group. Participants attended jumping
fitness classes twice a week for 12 sessions (6 consecutive weeks). The physical fitness factors of
the participants were assessed before and after participating in the classes. Additionally, the
following tests were used to measure static balance, dynamic balance, agility, and core strength:
the Strok balance stand test, Timed up and go test, Agility shuttle run test, and sit-up test,
respectively.
Results: The results of dependent t-test analysis showed that jumping fitness exercises led to an
increase in static and dynamic balance as well as core strength. The results indicated that jumping
fitness exercises had a significant effect on static balance (P=0.0001), dynamic balance
(P=0.0001), and core strength (P=0.002), but no significant difference was found in agility
(P=0.123).
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, six weeks of jumping exercises had a positive
impact on static and dynamic balance as well as core strength. It appears that aerobic exercises on
a trampoline can improve physical fitness factors and these exercises can be used to enhance
physical fitness.
