Abstract
Introduction: In today's complex and challenging life, anxiety can have negative effects on
individuals' health, well-being, and psychological welfare. Therefore, this research aims to
determine the relationship between social anxiety, body image, and psychological well-being of
women in Jumping Fitness.
Method: The research method employed a descriptive correlational approach. The statistical
population consisted of women aged 25 to 45 who participated in Jumping Fitness classes, and a
sample of 65 participants was selected using convenience sampling. The participants completed
the Watson and Friend Social Anxiety Questionnaire (1969), the Littleton et al. Body image
concern Scale (2005), and the 18-item short form of the Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale
(2002).
Results: The findings obtained from Pearson correlation indicated a significant negative
relationship between social anxiety and psychological well-being (R=-0.280, P=0.024), as well as
a significant negative relationship between body image concern and psychological well-being (R=-
0.483, P=0.001). Furthermore, there was a significant positive relationship between social anxiety
and body image (R=-0.490, P=0.001).
Conclusion: The results of the study demonstrated that social anxiety and body image concern
have an impact on the psychological well-being of women, influencing their lives.
Keywords: Body Image, Jumping Fitness, Social Anxiety, Well-being.
