چکیده:

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic in March 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO).  COVID-19 is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which play important roles in regulating gene expression and are also considered as essential modulators during viral infection. MicroRNA (miRNA) are a class of small RNA molecules that function to suppress gene expression post-transcriptionally. These small molecules could regulate main molecular pathways and cause some pathologic and physiologic conditions. Given the wealth of evidence supporting a role for miRNA in host cell antiviral defense mechanisms, this study aimed to evaluate the biochemical parameters (dopamine, oxytocin) and miRNAs (Mir802, Mir101, Mir337, Mir9, Mir124, Mir218) related to neuropathy and inflammation in blood samples of COVID-19 patients. Because some neurocomplexities were reported previously in these patients.
