بررسی مسیرهای پاکسازی پپتید آمیلوئید β در مراحل مختلف بیماری آلزایمر
چکیده:
Alzheimer disease (AD) is the most common cause of a decline in cognitive ability. It is a neurodegenerative disorder that usually affects people over the age of 65 with the involvement of language, memory, comprehension, attention, judgment and reasoning. Amyloid-β peptide (Aβ) is still best known as a molecule to cause Alzheimer’s disease (AD) through accumulation and deposition within the frontal cortex and hippocampus in the brain. Thus, strategies on developing AD drugs have been focused on the reduction of Aβ in the brain. The clearance of Aβ from the brain is accomplished by several mechanisms which include non-enzymatic and enzymatic pathways. The aim of the proposed research is to investigate of Amyloid Beta clearance pathway in Alzheimer’s disease. To do this, six beta clearing enzymes including Insulin-degrading enzyme, Neprilysin, Endothelin converting enzyme, Angiothensin converting enzyme, MMP9 and MMP3 will be evaluated in serum of AD patients in three stages (early, middle and late) by western blotting method.
