چکیده مقاله

The rotational properties of an electromagnetic motor depend on the material surrounding its rotor. In this paper, a viscosity sensor for liquids is designed and fabricated with a novel electromagnetic motor. The proposed motor consists of a suspended rotor that is completely influenced by the surrounding material. In this proposed motor, the rotor is suspended in a container filled with the material under test. The viscosity of the material under test completely affects the rotation frequency of the rotor. A Hall-effect magnetic sensor is used to record the rotor frequency, which is indirectly related to the viscosity of the material under test. Measuring the viscosity of liquids is important in various industries and medicine. The viscosity of various liquids has a wide range. The detailed design of the electromagnetic sensor and its experimental results using a prototype for some liquids are presented.
